Last night, we went as a family to the Dixie Kite Festival. We waited for Charlie to get home from work and then made an evening out of it. We loaded up on all the good indulgences that come with a fair atmosphere... like Pizza, Corn on the cob, Funnel Cake, Cookies, & Kettle Popcorn :p It was spread out over a few hours though and there was lots of walking so we feel justified ;)
Trisadee earned a free kite from reading over 650 minutes in the last few months... I was very proud of her doing this... although it was mostly mom reading, she is getting SO Dang good at reading all of her sight words with ease :)
Tris and Charlie had fun trying to get their kite up in the air amongst the Masses. It was fun to watch ;)
The kids had lots of fun getting free stuff at the booths and playing on the bounce-houses. It was fun to see them having a good time!
Taigyn's highlight of the night was her balloons (she got two and they flew away pretty fast LOL) and her light-up/glow ball :)
Trisadee got to have her face painted as a butterfly and she was Way excited! :)
Finally, it was Mom's favorite time of the night... FIREWORKS!! It was really fun to see Taigyn's face go through the motions of watching the lights and hearing the Boom... she got a little scared at first, but once she was in Daddy's lap, she loved it :)
