“If you are still in the process of raising children . . . be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will

-to your surprise- miss them profoundly.”

Our California Vacation (Part Two) Disney's California Adventure

The second day, we had to pack up the van with our stuff and check out of the hotel before heading to the park.  It was cool in the morning but it felt really good.  It took us a little more time than we anticipated to get things packed up and find parking so we didn't get to the fastpass machine in time to reserve a spot for the Cars ride... that was a major bummer but we still had fun!

Tracelyn thought the ride on the tram to get from the parking building to the park was a ride ;)  She loved it LOL

Our first ride was the Toy Story ride...

It was a lot of fun!

Tracelyn even did okay with all the whipping around it does ;)

Taigyn and Tris were excited for this ride, Jumping Jellyfish.....but I must say, it was pretty
boring LOL  I was surprised that a ride so calm didn't let smaller kids come on... Trace would have loved it...

If you look hard enough, you can see Charlie and Trace watching us

It was a nice view from the top.... Tris got to go all alone

We went to quite a few shows... Turtle Talk w Crush, Disney Junior and Aladdin!
Turtle talk was awesome because Crush interacts with you and he picked Tris out of the crowd and then he wanted to talk to her mom... I was pretty stoked!!  Righteous, Dude! ;)
Disney Junior was fun for the younger two and had some fun highlights like snow coming down, streamers shooting out and 'gold tab-loons' coming down from the ceiling.

The Aladdin show was in a league of its own... it's pretty much a broadway-type production and the genie was SO good!!  It's a Must see!

Sadly, we mostly stuck to little kid rides... (yawn) but the kids still had fun ;)

Bumper cars....

Tracelyn drove...

and so did Taigyn ;)

Charlie got the kids some bubble guns to play with while we waited for the Pixar parade (I honestly love the shows and parades).... he thought it was funny when the bubbles kept getting me in the glasses... didn't seem too pleased when it happened to him though ;) LOL

Taigyn is the type of kid who can make friends with anyone... she and this little girl had a blast while waiting

All the kids got to get up to learn a cool dance and did it for all of us waiting ;)

My fave

Someone gave Taig this cool button pin.... she was pretty excited.
We went to the Animation Academy... we all got to learn how to draw Olaf

Then, as we were going to see what I thought was a show, we walked in and saw these ladies and the kids about died LOL ;)  We didn't even have to wait in line... it was SO cool!!

We did a lot of shopping and got some souvenirs... We also ate lunch at Flo's Cafe in Car's Land and the food didn't disappoint

MUCH better day than the hot, tiring day before ;)
