We did it!! It finally happened....
I got my tortoise :) His/her name (you don't know the sex until they are a few years old) is Taz...
... short for, Tasmanian Devil :D I thought it'd be cute to stick to the 'T' name theme that we have going on.... and if it ends up being a girl, then we can just add a Y on the end and call her Tazy.
Going for some food... Don't worry, we feed him lots of fruits & veggies too...

Look how TINY he is... only 2-3 inches long, but can grow to be a few feet long, over 100 lbs and at least 100 years old... Cool!!
Trisadee says she has dibs on Taz when we die LOL
Since he's a desert tortoise, he can't have too high humidity around him, so he can't have a water bowl in his cage (humidity makes him sick with respiratory stuff).. so every other day we get to give him a soak in the sink for about a half hour and he absorbs the moisture and drinks some too....
We're excited to let him go outside when it starts to heat up... he'll love it!
We all LOVE our new pet!!
